If you're searching for Japanese-inspired streetwear in Australia that actually means something, most of what you'll find falls into two categories: licensed anime merchandise that borrows other people's characters, or fast fashion pieces that use Japanese aesthetics as decoration without any real depth behind them.
Between Two Worlds is neither of those things.

What Japanese Streetwear Actually Looks Like Done Right
Japanese streetwear at its best is intentional. The symbolism is considered. The imagery carries weight. Every element earns its place in the design. That's the standard CityEvoke holds itself to, and Between Two Worlds is the clearest example of it yet.
The design draws on some of the most recognisable symbols in Japanese art and culture, but uses them to tell an original story rather than just reference them for aesthetic value.
Two koi fish move together in a continuous circle at the centre of the design. In Japanese culture, koi represent perseverance, strength, and the courage to keep moving against the current. Here they're split into two: the gold koi representing ambition, growth, and the drive to move forward; the white Tancho koi representing wisdom, reflection, and the lessons carried from the past. Together they form a duality that most people will recognise in their own life.
The lotus above them is a symbol of growth rising from difficult conditions. The spider lilies below represent memory, loss, and the paths already walked. In Japanese folklore, spider lilies are associated with final farewells and the boundary between worlds. Here they anchor the design in everything that came before.
Held between two hands, the full composition captures the tension between where you are and where you're going. Between dream and reality. Between who you were and who you're

The Front: Kibo Mugen
On the front of the tee: 希望無限 Kibo Mugen — Infinite Hope. No matter where you stand, no matter which path you take, keep moving forward. It's a statement that works in any language, but lands differently when it's written in the one it came from.

Original Artwork. Not a Reference.
Every element of Between Two Worlds was hand-drawn by Jordan Miles Roman on iPad using Procreate. This isn't a licensed design, a stock illustration, or a remix of existing anime artwork. It's an original piece built from scratch by an Australian artist who grew up drawing anime and decided to create his own characters and worlds instead of borrowing someone else's.
That's what separates CityEvoke from most anime and Japanese-inspired clothing you'll find in Australia. The artwork is original. The story is original. The brand is built on creating, not

Two Fits for How You Want to Wear It
Between Two Worlds is available in two fits so you can choose how it sits on you.
The Boxy Fit is 300 GSM heavyweight 100% cotton with a wide-shoulder oversized silhouette. The weight and structure give it that premium feel that Japanese streetwear is known for. Order your normal size for the intended fit.
The Everyday Fit is 240 GSM 100% cotton with a long slim silhouette. Versatile enough to wear daily, premium enough to stand out. True to size for a fitted look, or size up for an oversized feel.
Both are printed using DTG on dense cotton for sharp detail and lasting colour. The back print on this piece is the most detailed in the CityEvoke collection to date.
Already 5 Stars
