Sometimes running a brand leads to moments you don't expect.
Recently, I received an order from a customer named Lincon. He had previously bought the Manifest T-Shirt and the Betrayal T-Shirt, and this time he came back and purchased The Bloom Never Begs T-Shirt and the Consumed By The City T-Shirt.
Not long after placing his order, he emailed me.
He mentioned that he had accidentally selected the wrong size for one of the tees and asked if it could be fixed. In the same message, he also said that he really loved my designs and that I had gained a repeat customer.
That message meant a lot.
Of course, I fixed the order straight away. But instead of just correcting it and shipping it out, I thought — why not take it a step further?
Lincon lives in Bulli, which is about an hour and a half away from me. I asked him if he would be open to me personally delivering his order and doing a quick interview for CityEvoke. He was keen.
The Trip to Bulli
After preparing both tees, I set out for the drive to Bulli with my mum and grandma. It was the perfect opportunity to not only deliver the order but also create content and connect with someone who genuinely supports the brand.
When we arrived, Lincon was welcoming and easy to talk to. We filmed a short interview and had a proper conversation about the tees and the brand.

How He Found CityEvoke
One of the most interesting things Lincon told me was how he found CityEvoke.
He was searching on Google for "oversized anime t-shirts" — and my website came up at the top.
That moment meant a lot more than it might seem. It showed me that not only is CityEvoke growing on social media, but it's also being discovered organically through search. It's a reminder that the work put into building the brand is starting to reach people beyond just friends and family.
More Than Just a Sale
This wasn't just about delivering a product. It was about fixing a mistake properly, appreciating a loyal customer, building a real connection, and seeing the brand reach someone organically through search.
Moments like this are what make the journey worth it.
The Interview
Being able to interview Lincon in person made it even more meaningful. Hearing direct feedback, seeing someone wear the designs, and knowing they genuinely support what you're building — that's something you can't replace.
Building CityEvoke
CityEvoke isn't just about clothing. It's about storytelling, connection, and building something people can relate to. And sometimes, it leads to driving an hour and a half just to deliver a tee.
Final Thoughts
To Lincon — thank you for the support and for making this experience possible.
And to everyone supporting CityEvoke, whether it's through purchases, messages, or simply watching the journey — I appreciate it more than you know.
