Winter is coming, and for the first time since starting CityEvoke, I wanted to build something for it properly.
The tees have always been the foundation — and they still are. But as the colder months get closer, I kept thinking about what a CityEvoke winter piece would actually look like. Not just a tee with a season change. Something built for the weather, built for the aesthetic, and built to the same standard as everything else in the collection.

Why Not a Pullover?
I did look at pullovers first. I sourced a sample and spent time with it, but I wasn't satisfied. The fit didn't work the way I wanted it to for the designs, and the overall feel wasn't quite right for where CityEvoke sits. It wasn't bad — it just wasn't it.
So I went back and looked at other options. And the more I thought about it, the more a zip up made sense. More functional, more versatile, more streetwear. You can wear it open over a tee, zip it up fully, layer it under something heavier. It works in more situations than a pullover does, and for a brand built around how you actually wear things day to day, that matters.

The Sample Arrived
About two weeks after sourcing it, the sample arrived. I opened it and knew immediately that this was the one.
The weight alone tells you everything. At 450 GSM, this is a heavyweight piece — noticeably more substantial than anything in the tee range. The outer is 100% cotton, which gives it that premium feel and structure. The inner is a cotton and poly blend, which adds warmth and helps the garment hold its shape over time. It's the kind of hoodie that feels expensive before you've even looked at the details.
The fit is boxy — wide shoulders, clean silhouette, structured without being stiff. There's a double zipper, which adds both functionality and a design detail that elevates the whole piece. No drawstrings, which keeps it clean and intentional. Everything about it is considered.
I've shown it during TikTok lives and the response has been immediate. People can see the quality through a screen. The interest has been strong, and that told me everything I needed to know about timing this right.

Three Designs. One Drop.
The hoodie is dropping with three designs. Two are from the existing collection — The Bloom Never Begs and Stillness In Motion. Both are pieces that have already connected with people, and both translate well to the zip up format.
The third is a brand new design created specifically for this hoodie. It won't be on a tee. It's built for this garment and this garment only.
All three designs are being adjusted for the zip up format — particularly around the pocket area, where the placement needs to work with the zip rather than against it. The artwork isn't just being transferred across. It's being adapted so it sits correctly on the garment and reads the way it's supposed to.
The Timeline
The goal is to have this in your hands before June — early enough that you can actually wear it through winter, not receive it at the end of it. That's the target and I'm working toward it.
This Is a Limited Drop
This needs to be said clearly: there are only 50 pieces total, split across sizes. That's it. When they're gone, there won't be a restock anytime soon. This isn't a tactic — it's just the reality of how this drop is being run. If you want one, you need to be ready when it goes live.
I'll be announcing the drop date across TikTok and here on the blog. Follow @cityevoke on TikTok and keep an eye on cityevoke.com so you don't miss it.
