The 50 blank zip up hoodies are on their way. And before they arrived, I did what needed to be done — I ran an official sample test on The Bloom Never Begs zip up to make sure everything was right before committing to the full run. The result? It's ready.
The Sample Test
Before putting any design on 50 pieces, you test. That's just how it has to be done if you care about the quality of what goes out. The Bloom Never Begs was the first design to go through the sample process on the zip up format — and I've already revealed it during a TikTok live.
The response said everything. People watching the live couldn't wait for it. The comments were immediate — people could see the quality through a screen and they wanted it. That kind of reaction isn't something you manufacture.
It didn't stop there. Friends and family tried it on in person. They felt the material, wore it around, and the feedback was the same across the board — the quality is premium, the feel is exactly right for winter, and it wears better than it even looks on camera. When the people closest to you try something and their reaction is genuine, that tells you everything you need to know.
The sample passed. Now the blanks are coming.
What's Coming
50 pieces total. Sizes small through to 2XL. Three designs across the run — The Bloom Never Begs, Stillness In Motion, and a brand new design created specifically for this hoodie. The new design won't be on a tee. It's built for this garment only.
The designs are being adapted for the zip up format — particularly around the pocket area, where placement needs to work with the zip rather than against it. This isn't just transferring artwork across. It's being done properly.
The Hoodie Itself
For anyone who missed the earlier announcement — here's what you're getting. 450 GSM heavyweight construction. 100% cotton outer. Cotton and poly blend inner for warmth and structure. Boxy fit with wide shoulders. Double zipper. No drawstrings. Clean, considered, and built for winter.
This is not a basic hoodie. The weight alone tells you that the moment you pick it up. And once you've worn it, you'll understand why everyone who tried the sample didn't want to take it off.
The Timeline
The blanks are arriving very soon. Once they're here, the printing process begins. The target is end of May — early enough to actually wear it through winter, not receive it at the tail end of it.
When the drop goes live, it will be announced on @cityevoke on TikTok and here on the blog. There will be no restock once these 50 pieces are gone. That's not a tactic — it's just the reality of how this drop works.
