Not all tees are built the same — and at CityEvoke, that's intentional.
We offer two weights across our range: 240gsm and 300gsm. Both are premium. Both are oversized. But they serve different purposes, feel different on the body, and are packaged with the same level of care. Here's exactly what goes into each one — from fabric choice to the moment it lands at your door.
240gsm vs 300gsm: What Does GSM Mean?
GSM stands for grams per square metre — it's the standard measure of fabric weight. The higher the GSM, the heavier, thicker, and more structured the fabric. For streetwear, GSM directly affects how a tee drapes, holds its shape, and feels against your skin.
At CityEvoke, we use two weights intentionally: 240gsm for everyday wearability and 300gsm for a premium, collector-grade feel.
240gsm — The Everyday Anime Streetwear Tee
Our 240gsm tees are built for daily wear. They're lighter, more breathable, and easier to move in — without sacrificing the oversized silhouette CityEvoke is known for. Think of these as your go-to pieces: the ones you reach for on a casual day out, layered under a jacket, or worn to an anime convention without overthinking it.
- Weight: 240gsm cotton
- Fit: Oversized longline silhouette
- Feel: Softer, more relaxed drape
- Best for: Everyday wear, warmer weather, layering
- Designs: BETRAYAL, MANIFEST, NEON DREAMS: OPPOSITE, THE BLOOM NEVER BEGS
300gsm — The Premium Heavyweight Anime Tee
Our 300gsm tees are a different experience entirely. The moment you pick one up, you feel the weight. These are structured, substantial, and built to hold their shape wear after wear. The heavier cotton gives the print more depth and the silhouette more presence — this is the tee you wear when you want to make a statement.
- Weight: 300gsm heavyweight cotton
- Fit: Boxy oversized silhouette
- Feel: Structured, substantial, premium hand-feel
- Best for: Statement fits, cooler weather, collector pieces
- Designs: NEON DREAMS: ZIRA, NEON DREAMS: HIRO, CE LOGO, CONSUMED BY THE CITY
How CityEvoke Tees Are Printed
The printing process differs depending on the weight — and that's a big part of why the 300gsm tees take a little longer to reach you.
240gsm — DTF Printing
Our everyday tees use DTF (Direct to Film) printing exclusively. The design is printed onto a film, then heat-pressed directly onto the garment. It's a fast, precise process that delivers sharp, vibrant artwork on dark fabric — and because it's handled efficiently, turnaround is quick.
- Print method: DTF only
- Turnaround: Same day to 1–2 business days

300gsm — DTG + DTF Printing
Our premium tees go through a two-step process. First, they're sent to a local printing company for DTG (Direct to Garment) printing — which lays down the base artwork directly into the fabric fibres. Then they come back to us for a DTF heat press to lock in the finish and detail. This two-step process takes more time, but the result is a print with more depth and durability.
- Print method: DTG (local printer) + DTF heat press
- Turnaround: 2–4 business days
Before anything ships, every tee goes through a quality check — print alignment, colour accuracy, and garment condition. If it doesn't meet the standard, it doesn't go.
How CityEvoke Packages Every Order
Packaging at CityEvoke isn't an afterthought. Whether you're ordering a 240gsm everyday tee or a 300gsm collector piece, every order is treated the same way:
- Each tee is folded flat and placed in a sealed poly mailer
- Orders include a thank-you card with the CityEvoke brand story
- Packaging is kept minimal and intentional — no unnecessary filler
The goal is simple: when you open a CityEvoke order, it should feel like something worth keeping.
240gsm vs 300gsm: Which CityEvoke Tee Should You Buy?
Here's a quick guide to help you decide:
- Want something you'll wear constantly? Go 240gsm — BETRAYAL, MANIFEST, NEON DREAMS: OPPOSITE, or THE BLOOM NEVER BEGS.
- Want a piece that feels like an investment? Go 300gsm — NEON DREAMS: ZIRA, NEON DREAMS: HIRO, CE LOGO, or CONSUMED BY THE CITY.
- Can't decide? Get both. They're designed to work together as a wardrobe, not compete.
Either way, you're getting a hand-drawn original design, premium construction, and a brand that actually cares about what it puts out.
